Well........

Bon Jovi was AMAZING!!!

A..MA...ZING.

Unfortunately I can't find the plug to my phone or I would download pics I took with it. Suffice it to say, WE HAD A BLAST!! Jon Bon Jovi still has it goin on, and Richie Sambora, well, he was looking a little aged, but still sounded awesome. The guy's pitch is impeccable.

We spent time in traffic en route, hoofed it across parking lots so we didn't have to pay for parking (which was so worth it!), danced, yelled, acted like dorks, got sores on our feet, made fun of the guy in front of us (another story for another time:), and had an AWESOME time! They played some of their famous old hits and it was so fun to sing along with the entire stadium ALL the words. It's amazing what one can recall from the 80's:) They played an encore, and I was so elated that they weren't going to leave without playing 'Living on a Prayer' or 'Dead or Alive.' Both I sang with abandon:)

By the end of the night, my ears felt like they'd been stuffed with cotton and they rang all night. But it was SOOO worth it. I spent the morning getting kids ready for school singing 'Dead or Alive.' I could not get that song out of my head! And to top it off, the second I started up the car to take the kids to school this morning, what should be playing?

Why, 'DEAD OR ALIVE.'

What's Today?

Well, it's March second and Bon Jovi is somewhere in Sacramento awaiting my arrival tonight. LOL! I'm practically giddy with excitement:)

Concerts like this aren't usually my thing. I like smaller venues like the one Collette and I saw this past Saturday. We went and saw a local bluegrass band perform. Super fun! And the only other concert I've ever been to was when I was at Ricks College. Yes, when it was still cool and not BYU Idaho. NOT that I have anything against BYU IDAHO, but it's just not the same.

I digress.

So when I was 18, fresh out of my parents home, set up for the first time on my own and hanging out with the girls 24/7, we decided to go see Boyz II Men in Pocatello. Yes, it was as lame as it sounds. This was the first concert, and the last.

However, I have always said that if the Bee Gees or Bon Jovi ever came to concert I would DEFINITELY go. Unfortunately with the passing of Maurice, I think my dreams of seeing the BeeGees will be unrealized.

BUT NOT BON JOVI!!!

I can practically hear him singing right now. And when he sings "Never Say Goodbye" I will hold up my lighter and sway with the rest of them. Maybe even shed a few tears.

NOT!!!!

SOOO don't get the crazy crying fans that swoon and are so OVERCOME with emotion. It's hard to resist an eye roll. I mean REALLY.

But, I will put on my 'dork' and have a good time! Tara, hopefully we won't embarrass ourselves too much, though there's probably not much hope for that. Rochelle, hope to see you there!

And if I can't hear in the next couple days, it will be well worth it:)

ps. My sweet quirky husband told me to not go to the bathroom alone, that Tara and I need to go together so nothing happens. I so have to laugh! I love you babe! It's nice to know you're worried about me hanging with the crazies:)

Funny Things The Kids Say

One day Andon and I were talking about our hearts. He asked me how they worked, I gave him an explanation a 4 y r old could understand, (the only one I understand.) The very next day, I said something to Zak. Something that went along the lines of, "quit that!" or some such demand. Andon then says to me: "Mommy, listen to your heart. That's not very nice." Needless to say I felt like a complete and total toad. Just goes to show that you can always learn more from your children than you could ever teach them yourself.

While we were camping, Andon and our friend's son were sitting next to one another. Brayden who is 15 says to Andon, "I've known you since you were a baby." Andon replies, "I've known me since I was a baby too!"


Brittnee is our funny bone. The things she says sometimes are so dang funny! One day, as she was walking by Doug she says, "Hello, my good man." We both looked at her and we both began cracking up. This is how she's referred to him lately.


I was sitting on the couch taking a breather after dinner and Andon walks past me into the kitchen. He had a car in his hand and as he walked by the fridge he must have dropped it because I heard him say, "tartar sauce!" I suppose I should limit his sponge bob watching.


I was in the car with the kids coming home from Britt's tap class and she was telling me about the school BBQ that day. She mentioned that her friend got sick. I asked her what happened and she said, "Layla has lots of diseases so she had to go home." I didn't think I heard her clearly, so I repeated back, "diseases?" Britt said, "Yes, Diseases." By this time I was truly perplexed because I knew she didn't really mean disease, but I couldn't figure out what she DID mean. Then Teaghan pipes up and says, "You mean ALLERGIES?" Brittnee says, "Oh yeah, that's what it is. ALLERGIES!" I laughed heartily, the kind where your shoulders shake and your stomach hurts.


We were at the school today, and on one of the playgrounds is these cubes that turn. On them are the states and their capitols. There's quite a few of them, and they're all blue. Zakry starts playing with them and turning them all, and then I hear, "mommy, look, a car wash." I suppose the large blue cubes reminded him of the car wash we went on last week. So funny!!
