Blog Printing

I know...Two posts in two days!!! It's like the old days when I was first blogging. I couldn't get enough of it!

So this is for all you who have asked me about how Doug printed my blog for so cheap- namely Kim and Kimberley. Okay, so here's how he did it:

He went through sharedbook but he doesn't remember if there is a dot com attached to that, so just google sharedbook. So for $2.95 you can get it converted into a pdf format. You may have to do some adjusting for pages after they send it back to you. I asked him if Kinkos just printed and bound it for him, and he said that they charge by the color print, unless you want it black and white, but who wants that?, and it was going to cost him about the same as if he just had this other company print it, so he just printed it himself, right off the good ole laser printer. Granted that's almost 200 pages, but he said it was much cheaper. THEN he took it and had it bound at Kinkos. Super cheap! As I'm not looking for anything fancy, this suited me just fine. I just wanted it in print, so this was a great way to go if you're just looking to get it into print. He put a nice cover on it. It's a picture of Andon, and a back cover as well. If I wasn't so lazy I'd take a picture and show you, but I don't want to sift through the 200 files on my memory card for one little ole picture.

Joe and Elle

Elle asked me to take some pictures of her and Joe, which I was happy to do! You don't have to ask ME twice:) I'm sorry I'm just getting around to editing them, it's been a crazy week! As I was doing so, I couldn't help smiling as you guys are so darn cute! Elle, your spunk definitely comes through in the photos and I have to say that I had the most fun editing these!! So let me know when you want these. Hopefully I can email them out to you, but I never know if the file is going to be super huge. I need to ask my tech guy (aka Doug) Or, if you have a Ritz Camera near you, I'll just upload to a file there. So I've decided to post most of the pictures so that you can decide which ones you want...or if you want some done in B&W...or if you want the ones I did in B&W in the regular color....whatever. You decide. I'll give you all of them, but if there's a particular picture you want something done with, then call me or email me: kristin_bassett@ymail.com. Or I can ship you a disc. But that may be a while:) I am fast approaching senility.

I have to say that this is one of my favorites. When it's blown up, you can really see the sweet smile on Joe's face. I just love it!!

Funny Things The Kids Say

One day Andon and I were talking about our hearts. He asked me how they worked, I gave him an explanation a 4 y r old could understand, (the only one I understand.) The very next day, I said something to Zak. Something that went along the lines of, "quit that!" or some such demand. Andon then says to me: "Mommy, listen to your heart. That's not very nice." Needless to say I felt like a complete and total toad. Just goes to show that you can always learn more from your children than you could ever teach them yourself.

While we were camping, Andon and our friend's son were sitting next to one another. Brayden who is 15 says to Andon, "I've known you since you were a baby." Andon replies, "I've known me since I was a baby too!"


Brittnee is our funny bone. The things she says sometimes are so dang funny! One day, as she was walking by Doug she says, "Hello, my good man." We both looked at her and we both began cracking up. This is how she's referred to him lately.


I was sitting on the couch taking a breather after dinner and Andon walks past me into the kitchen. He had a car in his hand and as he walked by the fridge he must have dropped it because I heard him say, "tartar sauce!" I suppose I should limit his sponge bob watching.


I was in the car with the kids coming home from Britt's tap class and she was telling me about the school BBQ that day. She mentioned that her friend got sick. I asked her what happened and she said, "Layla has lots of diseases so she had to go home." I didn't think I heard her clearly, so I repeated back, "diseases?" Britt said, "Yes, Diseases." By this time I was truly perplexed because I knew she didn't really mean disease, but I couldn't figure out what she DID mean. Then Teaghan pipes up and says, "You mean ALLERGIES?" Brittnee says, "Oh yeah, that's what it is. ALLERGIES!" I laughed heartily, the kind where your shoulders shake and your stomach hurts.


We were at the school today, and on one of the playgrounds is these cubes that turn. On them are the states and their capitols. There's quite a few of them, and they're all blue. Zakry starts playing with them and turning them all, and then I hear, "mommy, look, a car wash." I suppose the large blue cubes reminded him of the car wash we went on last week. So funny!!
